BAND 5/6 WRITTEN APPLICATION COACHING

 £100

We can start with your draft, which I’ll review before we get started. Or we can start from scratch and plan together.

By the end of our time together, 99.9% of applicants know exactly what they need to do. I’ll then invite you to spend a bit longer on your application getting it to say what you need it to. I am happy to look through it again before it goes off. Applicants rarely need to jump back onto Zoom at this point, I’ve only done that once in the last five years or so. Usually you’re good to go.

What We’ll Do

  1. Unpack the job description and specification and make a plan

We’ll need to describe your ability to practice in both midwife-led and obstetric-led settings. Describing how much experience you have gained as a student and how you will rise to the challenge of being a registered member of staff is key. A lot of what’s needed is confidence and the ability to put yourself forward.

2. Show insight into recent reports, care bundles and research

You’ll need to show you know the direction your desired trust is going and the ethos they work towards. We’ll work out how best to mention current research and how they apply to your practice will help the recruitment staff imagine you working as an excellent member of the team. Showing your own midwifery philosophy and goals for your career with strengthen your application further.

3. Address structure, grammar, spelling and proofreading

Once you have a solid plan or draft, you can go away and work on your application. After that, send your application back to me. I’m happy to proofread or otherwise help, anything under 20 minutes is fine.

Option

Opt for video feedback. Send me your draft/anything else, I’ll record video feedback and send it to you. No need to book and attend a session around your busy schedule.

However, after I felt confident and informed about how to write my statement. The coaching was so helpful and Ellie was so kind and patient, I would recommend it to anyone!”
